Day 4 : Taipei Martyrs' Shrine ---  National Palace Museum --- Fisherman's Wharf --- Dan Shui Old Street --- Bei Tou Hot Spring

The fourth day in Taiwan was quite free and the schedule was not packed. Driver brought us to Taipei Martyrs' Shrine 忠烈祠 to visit and also have a look on the changing of guards. I watched Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace at London before. Changing of the Guards at Taipei Martyrs' Shrine was a bit inferior than Buckingham Palace, London. But at least the place was not that crowded compared to Buckingham Palace.

The Guards

Then, we went National Palace Museum 國立故宮博物院. Can't believe that we visited museum, right? LOL. It is the national museum of the Republic of China, and has more than thousands collection of ancient Chinese artifacts and artworks. Most of the collection are high quality pieces collected by China's ancient emperors. It is a large building which we can't even finish to walk through all the sections. We spent about 2 and a half hours inside. Artifacts and artworks seem like boring but we actually had lots of fun inside (it was actually few of us only). We 'learnt' new things inside the museum, too bad that couldn't take photo inside.

Felt hungry after learning process, and craved for Braised pork rice 滷肉飯. So driver brought us for this!

Yummy ~ I like the bitter melon soup

It's time to have a walk after lunch.

Here we were at  Fisherman's Wharf 淡水渔人码头. The group photo :)

me ! ^^

So called 'pro' photographers - Kelvin & Choy XD

Dan Shui Old Street 淡水老街

When sunset, it's time to have a nice bath and a good rest. We were going to have hot spring bath at BeiTou 北投~ Hooray!

BeiTou 北投 is one of the Taipei district that famous for its hot spring. It's a MUST to have hot spring bath on this cold days! So lucky that I had my own hot spring bath in my hotel room. Although the bath tube is small but I still enjoyed my bath very much!

Hot spring bath eased my fatigue. Felt fresh and relaxed after the bath :)

We took a sucks dinner at a restaurant and it's totally not filling. Never mind, 7-11 are everywhere here! So we had instant cup noodles as our supper again. Really in love with Taiwan's 7-11 convenient shop. LOL.

Day 5 : YehLiu Geopark --- Golden Waterfall ---Yin-Yang Sea --- Jiu Fen --- Shi Fen --- Taipei

Time passed fast, it was the fifth day in Taiwan. YehLiu 野柳 was our first station of the day. Heard that YehLiu Geopark is an interesting and special attraction before we came, there are a number of rock formations that have different kind of shapes and we couldn't see these at Malaysia. But we were really unlucky that day. It was raining when we reached there! Arggg... Misty rain + strong wind, we felt cold again~

That was why we needed to wear the rain coat (plastic?) like this so that we didn't get wet. Looked so funny, I know! But no choice. Don't even have mood to take pictures with this kind of look >.< And my camera got wet and was 'in coma' after few pictures taken! Bad rain :(

The famous Queen's Head 女王頭 that need to queue for photograph.

The coast

The Geopark divided into few areas but we can't finished walk through the whole park due to the rain and strong wind. Too bad, hope to visit the geopark again in the future.

Seafood lunch after our visit at YehLiu Geopark.

It was still raining after we had our lunch. With no others option, we had to proceed to our next station, Golden Waterfall 黃金瀑布, Yin-Yang Sea 陰陽海 and Jiu Fen 九份.

Awesome waterfall

Seriously, I hate raining day. Hardly walk in the old street when it's rain. My new shoes got wet, camera can't function, and freezing on this raining day :( But hot taro balls did warm me a bit on this cold day. The street was crowded with visitors although it was a raining day. Along its route, there are shops on both side and numerous food stall. However, we did not have appetite to try on the local dishes. Perhaps can try it on our next visit to Taiwan :)

Nice taro balls

 The street

Gloomy JiuFen :(

Yin-Yang Sea 陰陽海, where the sea water is permanently mix of 2 colors which are yellow and blue color.

Everyone were fed up with the rain and felt lazy to go out from the car to snap the picture of the Yin-Yang Sea. Hardly to see the 2 colors from the picture I took.

Took a nap when on our way to Shi Fen 十分 because the way is sharp and bend as CingJing as well. And again, it was still raining and we were worried that we couldn't fly the lantern under raining day. Fortunately, the rain was getting smaller when we reached there.

It's time to make a wish (should be wishesssss~) !

Our wishes ~

I am not greedy, I just wish that everything going smooth, get promoted and increments, and of course stay youthful and beautiful! Simple, right? ^.-

Train passed through the railway and there are shop lots and houses just beside the railway.

Our lantern that carried our wishes. May all our wishes come true!

Headed to Taipei city after our lantern flew far far away. And again, the way of going down made me sick! I dare not to challenge this kind of road again. Stomach went up and down, left and right followed the paths.

Stayed at Apple House Taipei - AppleHouse 7. Guess that this was the best accommodation we had stayed throughout the days at Taiwan. We occupied the whole apartment. The apartment is really comfort and well furnished. The location is convenient with shops and restaurant around and of course near with MRT station. Highly recommended!

The outlook of the AppleHouse 7, looks ordinary but...

It's unexpectable interior! Looks comfortable and nice, right? In fact, it is.

Damn tired and not feeling well that night so decided to stay at apartment after dinner while others went to XiMenDing for night walk. To rest is to walk further! That's was the end of my day 5 at Taiwan ~

It's a bit too long for the Part 2, because I have a lot of things to share with. Hope you guys won't get bored with my post for Taiwan ^^ So there is a post for Part 3 !

Stay tuned !
